Janet Veronica Young, 65, of Villas, lost her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer Thursday, December 12 while she was a patient at Cooper University Medical Center-Cape Regional.
Born May 15, 1959, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Janet (Root) Wiseman. She attended Philadelphia schools and graduated from nursing school where she earned her LPN certificate. She was employed as an LPN at Burdette Tomlin Hospital and later at Crest Haven Nursing Home.
Janet's hobbies were playing pinochle, boating, fishing and crabbing with her husband Albert, sister Karin and brother-in-law Todd. When her boys were younger, she proudly coached their T-Ball and soccer teams.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Gary Wiseman, sister-in-law Minnie Dowe and brother-in-law David Young.
Janet is survived by her husband Albert Young of 38 years; her sons Frank Wittenberg (Kim) of Punxsutawney, PA, Eric Wiedeburg (Jenn) of Latrobe, PA and Michael Wiedeburg of Lake Worth, FL. She is also survived by her sisters Diane (Bill) Wynn of Vineland, NJ and Karin (Todd) Vantoll of Philadelphia PA, brother-in-law George Young III (Pat) of Whitesboro, NJ and Ben Young of Green Creek, NJ; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 4th at the Villas Fire Company 1619 Bayshore Road Villas, NJ 08251. The family will be receiving visitors beginning at 1PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family would prefer donations to be made in Janet's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Research fund.
