GAWORSKI, PAUL
Paul “Moose” Gaworski, 78, of Villas, New Jersey, passed away on May 23, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born on November 21, 1946, in New Castle, Delaware, Paul lived a rich and full life marked by hard work, kindness, and a big heart. Known affectionately by friends and family as “Moose,” Paul wore many hats throughout his life plumber, mechanic, maintenance worker, school bus driver, member of the Merchant Marines and National Guard, and a dedicated volunteer fireman. He was the kind of person who could fix anything and if you had the time, he'd teach you how to fix it too.
Paul loved music, parties, and being surrounded by people. On any given Saturday, you could find him out in his garage with a Bud Light in hand and music playing loud, often in the company of a good friend or a dog, which he adored. He was known for his warmth, his quick wit, and his generous nature. Whether it was playing shuffleboard, joining quizzo night, or just striking up a conversation, Paul made everyone feel like a friend.
More than anything, Paul was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Wanda, his daughter Beth, his son-in-law Rob as well as nieces, nephews and many cousins. He was a good daddy, a patient teacher, and a steady source of encouragement. He taught Beth that she could do anything she set her mind to, shared his love of history, classic rock and learning, and passed on practical life skills including how to cook a great meal. His family will carry forward these lessons, and the deep love he gave so freely.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and John, and his siblings John, Kenny, Francis, and Mary.
A memorial service will be held at Evoy Funeral Home on Saturday 5/31, where friends and family can visit from 10am-11am and may attend a service starting at 11am followed by a luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Paul's name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) a cause that reflects the kind of man he was: one who never stopped caring for others.
Paul Gaworski was the kind of guy you were lucky to know. A helper, a teacher, a friend, and above all, a loving husband and father. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral Services will be held 11AM Saturday, May 31 at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Please visit EvoyFuneralHome.com to share a memory with Moose's family.
