HERMAN, ROBERT V. ROBERT V HERMAN, 78 , September 1, 2023. He was born in Camden, NJ. Bobby was a life long resident of Middle Township. He attended Middle Twp. Schools and was in the National Guard. A devoted husband, proud daddy, pop pop, uncle and Mr H. He was a carpenter, owner/operator of Herman's Trucking and a tour bus driver. In 1985 our family was struck by a drunk driver. It was life changing. With God's grace he learned to walk again without a hip, only muscle holding his leg on. He was always there for us. He taught us all things are possible with Christ, who strengthens us with unconditional love, integrity, forgiveness. He had a never give up press-on attitude. He is forever remembered for his prayers. He was a provider and server, he was selfless, never complained, was always practical. He was a great story/ joke teller and our Mr. Fix It. He enjoyed homemade go-carts, roller/ice skating, traveling, rubber necking, giving hitch hikers rides and feeding homeless along the way. He loved trains, Nascars, car shows, drag racing, cycles, crabbing, fishing, country & bluegrass music, casino outings and cards with family and friends. He loved his home cooked meals & desserts. And he always had his prayer ready. One day Bobby was leaving Barnett's Hardware Store in the Villas. He turned to his friend and said "that girl on the ladder, I'm gonna marry her someday." And he did. On September 1st at the University of Penn, 37 minutes shy of their 56th wedding anniversary, our strongest miracle man, known for more than 9 lives, was called home to be with the Lord in his new pain-free body. Bobby is survived by his wife Sharon (Barnett) Herman (Nut), daughters Bobbi Jo Hornbeck and Sherri Johnston. Grandchildren Michael Neville (Peanut) Melody, Hope Neville (Doodle), David (with expecting his 1st great grand-daughter), McKenna Johnston (Boo Boo). Siblings Rosebud Abadie, Tommy Herman, Eddie Herman (Rose) and godson John Herman. Many nieces, nephews, and adopted daughters along the years. His favorite 4-legged baby girl Cheyenne. He was predeceased by his parents Victor (Marie) Herman, siblings Terri Quade and Charlie Herman. "Teddy Bear" I'll sign off for now, before I start to cry. May God ride with you, 10-4, and goodbye "see ya later". Life is a choice. We all will meet our maker one day. In lieu of donations, we ask you give rides in Bob's memory to anyone under the influence. No services scheduled at this time. Special thanks to emergency and hospital staff from Cape Regional, Shore Memorial, Cooper, and the University of Penn over the years.
