A 25-year-old Woodbine man has been arrested and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office has announced.
Brandon M. Nicolosi was arrested May 19 after an investigation stemming from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tip that an unidentified person, subsequently identified as Nicolosi, downloaded and shared various images of CSAM.
On May 15, authorities executed a search warrant on Nicolosi’s residence and seized multiple devices, including cellular telephones and laptop computers that later were found to contain images and videos of CSAM.
Nicolosi was charged with third-degree possession of CSAM and is lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center pending court proceedings. An individual convicted of a third-degree crime is subject to a prison term of three to five years.
Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland acknowledged the assistance of the State Police on the case and urged residents to report any information regarding child exploitation within the community to the Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1135 or anonymously on the Prosecutor’s Office website at cmcpo.tips.
