STANSBURY, JR., THOMAS E.

STANSBURY, JR.,
THOMAS E.
Thomas “Tom” E. Stansbury, Jr. of Cape May, NJ & Galloway Township, NJ, passed away at the tender young age of 42 on October 2, 2024 surrounded by family and friends after a heroic and courageous yearlong battle against cancer. Tom will always be remembered for his unmatched kindness, unprecedented gentleness, quick wit, and deep love for his family. In an often polarizing world, Tom was the ultimate role model for how we should live our lives with dignity, integrity, and respect for each other.
Tom was born and raised in the Cape May area where he was a 2000 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional High School. Tom went onto business school and became the founder and owner of the highly reputable Cape Pro Clean business specializing in carpet and window cleaning, and power washing in Cape May and Atlantic counties for the past decade.
Besides family, Tom's passion was Philadelphia sports especially the Eagles, Sixers, and Phillies. He possessed more knowledge about Philly sports than many professional pundits. He also enjoyed traveling and outdoor sports including snowboarding, hiking, bodyboarding, and surfing.
To recognize Tom's passionate and adventurous spirit, a memorial “paddle out” will be held Saturday, October 12, at 11 AM at Broadway Beach in Cape May his favorite surfing beach. (In the event of inclement weather Saturday, the event will be moved to Sunday, October 13.) A Celebration of Life to commemorate Tom's life will be held in February, with details to be shared once closer to February.
Tom is survived by the love of his life his wife, Tina Stansbury, his stepson Jacob and two granddaughters, Samia and Sania; his parents, Theresa R. Cummiskey, and Thomas E. Stansbury, Sr.; his brothers Justin Stansbury, Mark Stansbury, Jacob Stansbury, and sister Alexis Walkowitz; his grandmothers Helen Farina and Paula Neff, and scores of uncles, aunts, cousins and other close relatives who loved Tom so dearly.
Our family would like to thank AtlantiCare and their partners for their exceptional care and support of Tom over the last year.
