Sweet Adelines produce a sweet sound

By On Deck Staff

Sweet Adelines have fun. They sing; they dance; they’ll steal your heart with the sounds of their barbershop harmony.
The Cape Shore Chorus, our local Sweet Adeline group, performs with 36 women directed by Jayne McDonough. The music tells a story with every song.
This year the women remember “One Summer Night,” a hot night in the center of the city. The women of Cape Shore Chorus will take you there, barbershop style.
The Cape Shore Chorus of Sweet Adelines International is an award-winning group always working to improve their own vocal skills and educating others on the art of barbershop singing. Sweet Adelines International consists of choruses in over 23 countries, with 30,000 women all with the same intention: “Harmonize the World.”
Cape Shore Chorus presents their annual show, “One Summer Night” at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center, Court House, on Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door. Featured guest quartet is Capri, fifth place international medalists.
Cape Shore Chorus rehearses weekly, Thursday evenings, 7:15-10 p.m. at Abundant Life Church, Toute 50, Seaville. They always welcome guests and new members. For more information call Brenda at 463-8870
