COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up the following indictments Feb. 2:
Anthony Strickland
Anthony Strickland, 34, of Bogota, was indicted for aggravated sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, both in the third degree. The indictment alleges that Strickland, in the role of “a foster parent, a guardian, or standing in loco parentis” had sexual contact with a 14-year-old female in the period from April to August 2015. Strickland was lodged at Cape May County Correctional Center on $70,000 bail.
Keith Valentine, Randolph Madric
According to their indictment, Keith Valentine and Randolph Madric entered a food market in Upper Township with the intent of stealing prescription medicine. Valentine allegedly took promethezine and codeine while Madric attempted to obstruct the view of surveillance cameras. The two were indicted for theft and conspiracy, both third degree.
Bruno S. Preztos 3rd
Bruno S. Preztos, 32, of North Cape May, was indicted for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) two counts, possession with intent to distribute, both third degree. He was also charged with second degree possession of a weapon during the commission of a controlled dangerous substance crime, two counts, and with a fourth degree prohibited weapon charge, two counts. Preztos allegedly intended to distribute heroin found in his possession. The indictment claims that he also possessed cocaine and alprazolam. The incident occurred Nov. 2, 2015.
The most serious charge came from his alleged possession of a Powerline .1777 BB gun and a 1911-style pellet handgun. The indictment also claims that both weapons were defaced, leading to the prohibited weapon charge.
Jason Popplewell, Nikki Debona
Third degree shoplifting charges came down for Jason Popplewell, 30, and Nikki Debona, 29, both of Villas. The indictment alleges that the two took merchandise from a Marmora market valued at more than $500. Video surveillance was used to identify the two, and they were picked up separately by police after the fact. Police reports claim that both were in possession of hypodermic needles.
Rachel Miller
On Oct. 2, 2015, the indictment alleges that Rachel Miller unlawfully entered a residence in Court House. It continued to allege that Miller tried “to lure or take custody” of a 6-year-old child. Miller was indicted for burglary and attempted interference with custody, both in the third degree.
Sidney Gary
In 2004, Sidney Gary, then 20, was convicted of endangering the welfare of a child. A condition of that conviction was long-term community supervision. Gary, on parole in Middle Township, was indicted for violation of community supervision, third degree. The indictment alleges that Gary failed to reside at his parole approved address in Court House and that he “did not obtain approval for a change of address.”
Jonathan R. Dehainaut
According to State Police reports, Jonathan Dehainaut, 24, of Swainton, unlawfully took possession of checks from his employer. He then allegedly cashed checks made out to himself during October 2015. The total taken amount to $3,000 which the police report claims was used to buy drugs. He was indicted this week for theft, forgery, and uttering a false instrument, all third degree charges.
Matthew Donnelly
Matthew Donnelly, of Lower Township, was indicted for attempted theft by extortion, second degree, possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance crime, also second degree, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, third degree. On or around Nov. 4, 2015, Donnelly allegedly tried to extort money from a victim by threatening to kidnap the victim’s daughters. The indictment continues that Donnelly was arrested the next day with marijuana over one ounce and in possession of a .25 caliber handgun.
Brittanie L. Blizzard
Brittanie L. Blizzard, 25, of Millville, was indicted for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, third degree, and unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth degree. The indictment alleges that Blizzard was found in possession of alprazolam Nov. 1, 2015, in Wildwood. It also claims that she had a “Kershaw” spring-assisted fold-out knife.
Nicholas J. Bimbo
Nicholas J. Bimbo, 32, of Villas, was indicted for second degree endangering the welfare of a child. According to police records, Bimbo was stopped Dec. 27, 2015 and charged with driving while intoxicated. Bimbo had a 9-year-old child in the car whom he had “a legal duty to care for,” and that led to the felony charge.
Denzel Wilson
Denzel Wilson was indicted for second degree robbery. Lower Township police allege that Wilson took valuables from a victim by threatening the victim with immediate injury. The incident occurred March 12, 2015.
Adam Watson, Andrew Rourke, Brittany M. Loos
An indictment alleges that Adam Watson and Andrew Rourke, of Court House, entered a structure on Route 47 in Dennis Township, and took over $500 of moveable property Oct. 2, 2015. The two were indicted for burglary, theft and conspiracy, all in the third degree. While not charged with the burglary itself, Brittany Loos was added to the indictment and charged with participation in the third-degree theft and conspiracy.
The above individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
