Fishing Gear Stolen in Erma

ERMA — Lower Township police received a call Aug. 7 at approximately 3:30 p.m. from a resident on Wilson Drive reporting the theft of about 26 fishing rods and reels and a harpoon.
The resident reported that sometime between Aug. 4 and Aug. 7, unknown persons forced entry into a shed and removed fishing equipment with a value of at least $22,000.
Anyone with information on the stolen fishing equipment is asked to contact Lower Township Police Department’s Safe Neighborhood Tip Line at (609) 886-1619 ext. 156 or Cape May County Crimestoppers: (609) 465-2800. Information will remain confidential and may be reported anonymously.
