Fourth of July Celebrations, Parades and Fireworks

Celebrate our Independence this Fourth of July at one of these great events.
Avalon
Celebration:
When: Saturday, July 4th
Field Races – 10th Street Recreational Field – 9:30 a.m.
Family Fun Fest – 30th Street and the Beach – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Fireworks:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 8:45 p.m.
Where: 30th Street Beach
Cape May
Parade:
When: Sunday, July 5th at 1 p.m.
Where: Begins at Beach Avenue and Philadelphia Avenue and proceeds down to Patterson Avenue.
The parade will feature three string bands along with many other outstanding performing groups, family entries, autos, veteran organizations, and local officials.
Decorated bicycles, antique automobiles, and all community entries are welcome to participate in the Independence Parade. Anyone interested in participating in the Independence Parade please contact the Cape May Department of Civic Affairs at 609-884-9565 or email tbrown@capemaycity.com.
Fireworks:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m.
Where: On the Beach in front of Congress Hall, 251 Beach Avenue
Lower Township
Independence Day Festival
When: Friday, July 3rd beginning at 5 p.m.
Where: Along the Bayfront between Lincoln Boulevard and Emerson Avenue
Fireworks:
When: Friday, July 3rd at 9 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Boulevard and Emerson Avenue
Middle Township
Celebration:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 5 p.m.
Where: Davies Sports Complex, 626 Goshen Road, CMCH
The celebration includes a magic show, live music by Thirsty Wilson, a water slide and bounce house, Captain America, pie eating contest, a ‘little patriotic’ contest (ages 6 months to 8 years) and food and craft vendors. Admission is free and some attractions require a small fee.

Where: Davies Sports Complex, 626 Goshen Road, CMCH
Ocean City
Bike Parade:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 10 a.m.
Where: Begins at the Longport Bridge
Fourth of July Bike Parade:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 10 a.m.
Where: Begins at 40th & Asbury Ave.
Celebration:
When: When: Saturday, July 4th at 6 p.m.
Where: By the Music Pier at Moorlyn Terrace and the Boardwalk
Kite Flying Competition and Live Entertainment
Fireworks:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 10 p.m.
Where: Ocean City Boardwalk
Sea Isle City
Celebration:
When: When: Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m.
Where: Dealy Field
Junior Olympics competition where kids can compete in running, throwing and jumping contests. Winners will receive medals on a three-tiered victory platform.
Fireworks:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m.
Where: 50th Street Beach
Stone Harbor
Celebration:
When: Saturday, July 4th
Where: 81st Street Recreation Field
Registration for Field Races and Home Run Derby – 9 a.m., 10 a.m. start
Fireworks:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 9:15 p.m.
Where: 80th Street Beach
Upper Township
Parade:
When: Saturday, July 4th (Raindate: July 5th) at 10:30 p.m.
Where: Commonwealth Avenue at Williard Road and proceed down Commonwealth Ave. to Prescott Rd., west to Bayview Dr. to the Deauville Inn, where refreshments will be provided and prizes will be awarded.

Celebration:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 4 p.m.
Where: Amanda’s Field, 10 Sunset Drive, Petersburg
A concert featuring three live bands, including The Kenny Young Band, along with food vendors and lots of activities for the children.
Fireworks
When: Saturday, July 4th at 9 p.m.
Where: Amanda’s Field, 10 Sunset Drive, Petersburg
Wildwood
Parade:
When: Saturday, July 4th at 9 a.m.
Where: 9th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood and proceeds north to 1st and Surf Avenues.
The Patriotic Pooch Parade will join the march through the Wildwoods at 8th and Atlantic Avenues. Dogs of all shapes and sizes will parade along the streets dressed in patriotic garb alongside decorated bicycles. Prizes will be awarded for the best bikes decorated with a red, white and blue theme, along with prizes for the best dressed pooches. To register, call 609-522-2955.

When: Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th at 10 p.m. (Rain Date: July 5th)
Where: Beach at Pine Avenue
