KIMBALL, ROBERT F.

KIMBALL, ROBERT F. Robert F. Kimball, 92, of Wildwood Crest NJ passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2024. He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor, and son, Dr. Robert F. Kimball, Jr, DDS of Seaville NJ. As well as his 5 siblings: Betty, John, Bill, Agnes and his twin sister Delores. He is survived by his son James of Wildwood Crest NJ. Daughter-in-law Robyn and he was always proud of his grandsons Rob (Natalie), Patrick, Andrew (Brianna) and Michael, all of Seaville NJ. Robert was born April 12, 1931 in Jersey City NJ to Fred Kimball and Mary Dougherty. The family then moved to Cedarwood Park NJ. Shortly after the move, his father passed away and he was raised by his incredibly strong Mother and his older siblings. By all accounts, a job well done! After graduating from Point Pleasant HS, he proudly served his Country in the US Navy aboard the USS Helena during the Korean War. After attending Monmouth College, he moved to Philadelphia to start a long career in the insurance business. This was a blessing because in his office, he was introduced to a beautiful young lady named Eleanor Saracino and they both fell in love with each other. They were married on June 23, 1962. The Kimballs then moved to Marlton NJ to raise their family. Here they started new friendships that lasted a lifetime. Always involved in sports; either playing himself or coaching his sons' teams. This is when his passion for the game of golf started. I will always remember him dragging my brother and me around the course after hours to teach us the game. Thanks, Dad. He was a 40+ member of Wildwood CC and played well into his 80's. 1977 was when he moved us to Wildwood Crest NJ where he started working for the J. Byrne Insurance Agency. One to never sit around, after retiring he continued to do home inspections and worked at Avalon Golf Course in the cart barn. A job he truly loved. Bob was also a devout Catholic and belonged to the Church of the Assumption in Wildwood Crest. If you were fortunate enough to meet him, you instantly liked him. A kind selfless and giving person who always seemed to have a smile on his face. A True Gentleman. In typical Bob Kimball fashion, the last thing he did on this earth was look up at me and smile. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday, February 9th at Assumption Church, 7100 Seaview Ave, Wildwood Crest NJ. Friends may call from 10 to 10:45 AM at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lazarus House Ministries, PO Box 1792, Wildwood NJ 08260. Condolences may be sent to ingersollgreenwoodfh.com
