Obituary

Neuer, Rev. Paul

Rev. Paul Neuer, Paul, Rev., 71, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, December 5, 2010. He is survived by his wife Hope, his daughters Anita and Colleen, his granddaughters Angelina and Gem, and one living sister, Estelle. Fr. Paul served in the U.S. Army, received his Master’s in Conducting from Trenton State College in NJ, and completed his Master’s of Divinity at Nashotah House Seminary in WI. He was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church December 14, 1977. Fr. Paul was Vicar of Christ Church Magnolia NJ, Rector of St. Simeon’s-by-the-Sea North Wildwood NJ, and most recently, Priest-in-Charge at St. Alban’s Church in Littleton NC. He was active with the Lakeland Arts Center and the Lake Gaston Retirement Village Foundation Executive Board in Littleton NC. Fr. Paul was a leader in Cursillo, Tres Dias, and Kairos, along with the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Board in NJ. He taught at Westfield Jr. High School in NJ, and operated a general contracting company in Flemington NJ. He started “Suffer Not” daycare center in N. Wildwood NJ, and was foster parent to five children in NJ. Paul demonstrated what God’s unconditional love looks like in every relationship he had. He was loved and will be missed by many. Visitation will be Thursday 12/9/10 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blaylok Funeral Home in Littleton NC, and a Memorial Service will be held Friday 12/10/10 at 10:00 a.m. at Littleton United Methodist Church. Another Memorial Service will be held Saturday 12/18/10 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Simeon’s Church in North Wildwood NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lake Gaston Retirement Village Foundation, P.O. Box 1169, Littleton NC 27850.
