Helen “Pat” Baron – 93, of Cape May, died Friday, May 22, 2020. Born on April 25, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pat’s first-generation Polish family moved to Wilkes-Barre, PA. The family spoke mainly Polish, which gave Pat a passion for the language. They moved back to Philadelphia, where she married her love, Alfred. She made her own way by starting her business in the Bridesburg neighborhood, named Pat’s Beauty Salon which she operated for over 40 years. She spent summers at her family home in the Villas, swimming, fishing, crabbing, boating, playing miniature golf and pursued interests in traveling, and frequent trips to Atlantic City to hit the blackjack table. Pat retired to Cape May, and enjoyed a life with family, friends, taking beach walks, and crocheting. All who remember Pat will miss her kind words, her beauty and vibrant smile. Whether she was chatting with her friends at Victorian Towers, or burning through the daily crossword puzzle, Pat would have a kind word on her lips, a joke at the ready, and a smile on her face. She will be missed. Pat is predeceased by her husband, Alfred (Al), her son, Alfred (Alvy), her two sisters, Julia (Kowalski) and Jean (Konkus). She is survived by her daughter Patricia Frigo (Edward), her son Victor (Lisa Marie) and her dear grandchildren: Nicholas, Jeremy, Christian, Zachary, and Hallie Baron Thayer as well as her much loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
