SEA ISLE CITY – The city council canceled taxes on 75 lots on the bayside of the city on and around 70th Street. The total amount canceled was approximately $150. Mayor Leonard Desiderio said the cancellation of the taxes was a prelude to the property owner, Michael Desiderio, donating the lots to the municipality.

In his report to the council, Mayor Desiderio said the city would now “move forward with the next steps in coordination with the property owner to ultimately place these lands under city ownership.” He said the lots are “predominately wetlands.”
