Readers are reminded that not only are all individuals listed below presumed innocent unless proven guilty, there may also be multiple individuals who share the same name, even in the same town.
COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 20 indictments June 3.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. A “certain person” charge can be brought against individuals whose previous convictions bar them from having weapons.
Tammy L. Troiano was indicted for fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, a machete.
Paula J. Dishman was named in a four-count indictment, with two third-degree counts for possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a metal chair and a steak knife, along with a count of third-degree aggravated assault and a fourth-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon.
Kevin D. Johnston faces three counts of aggravated assault, two in the second degree and one in the third degree.
Brenda M. Poythress was indicted for receiving a stolen motor vehicle in the third degree.
Charles R. Lillemon faces a second-degree count of aggravated assault in a circumstance that fits the definition of domestic violence.
Irandi N. Roblero-Perez was named in two third-degree counts, for making terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a metal pipe and a wooden stick.
John P. Hoover, Rayvan McCarraher, Maryann Treat and Trystan A. Rayer were separately and individually indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. Each had one count except Hoover, who had two counts. The controlled substances involved were: Hoover, methamphetamine and clonazepam; McCarraher, fentanyl; Treat, oxycodone, and Rayer. fentanyl.
Luis DeJesus faces two third-degree counts for receiving stolen property and theft.
Matthew C. Scheerer was named in a three-count indictment for shoplifting, possession of a prohibited weapon, metal knuckles, and certain person. Scheerer was convicted of possession of a CDS in 2006.
Raymond L Bartee faces a single count of making terroristic threats in the third degree.
Paul Mehan was indicted on three counts, third-degree making terroristic threats, along with two fourth-degree counts, for theft and obstructing the rule of law.
Ronalda A. Shivers was indicted for making a false public alarm via the 911 system. The count was in the fourth degree.
Yiwei Chen faces a second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child. Chen also was named in a count for aggravated criminal sexual contact in the third degree. The victim was at least 13 but less than 16 years old.
Abdul A. Hamilton was named in a three-count indictment, with two third-degree counts for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose. The final count was in the fourth degree for unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon in question is listed in the indictment as a pot.
Joseph P. Kennedy faces a five-count indictment, with two counts of third-degree possession of a CDS (bromazolam and fentanyl), two counts of third-degree hindering apprehension and one count of impersonation in the fourth degree.
Brian D. Flanders Sr. was indicted for endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree.
Kimberly Cruz-Feliciana was named in a nine count indictment, with five counts in the second degree. Of those, two are for endangering the welfare of a child, two are for aggravated assault and one is for conspiracy with an individual whose name was redacted in the indictment. That individual is not listed anywhere in the indictment. There is one count in the first degree, for tampering and threatening a witness. The final three counts are two for hindering apprehension, one in the third degree and one in the fourth degree, and tampering with physical evidence in the fourth degree.
