WILLIAMS JR., BERCHMAN Berchman "Bert" Williams, Jr., 77 of Avalon, NJ passed away October 5, 2023. He was born in Ridley Park, PA to the late Berchman and Margaret (McGraw) Williams, Sr. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War before working for General Motors. Bert went on to work for Delaware Cadillac in sales and as bartender at the Rock n' Chair in Avalon. Bert had many loves including John Wayne Westerns, golf, travel particularly Aruba, lunch with the guys, and entertaining friends and family, especially Memorial and Labor Day parties. As an avid sports fan, he had a inexplicable love of the Cleveland Browns. Most of all Bert loved sharing time with his loving family. Bert is survived by his wife, Alexis (formerly Farrell); son Mark (David) and daughter Michelle; stepdaughters: Joanne (Michael) and Andrea (David); grandchildren: Jacob, Maria, Sam, Nick (Catherine), Sophie, and Lilly; great grandson Pius; and sisters: Judy and Barbara. Services will be Monday, October 9, 2023 at St. Brendan The Navigator Parish, Maris Stella Church, 50th Street and Dune Drive, Avalon, NJ 08202. Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
