There are some people who don't remember that the vacant land on Lafayette Street which is now providing much needed parking was paid for by Green Acres and Blue Acres funds to the City. Charging people to park there would constitute double dipping by the City. The citizens should be grateful that people are using this area instead of driving in circles looking for parking
