Cape May County

The recent public commissioners meeting 11/25 was filled largely with county employees who are paid by taxpayers. While they may also be residents, their presence in such overwhelming numbers raises real concerns about whether genuine public input was represented. A meeting intended to reflect community voices shouldn’t feel like an extension of the county payroll. The public deserves a forum where independent citizens—not just county staff—can be heard.
