Stone Harbor

The proposed Stone Harbor occupancy tax is a surcharge that only applies to non-real estate agent-listed rentals. Even though state law prohibits an occupancy tax for real estate agent rentals, it still gives them a 3% advantage. Council members who are in the real estate business should abstain from voting, regardless of what their attorney tells them.
