The Police Training Licenses were issued by the NJ Attorney General Office to 40,500 police officers in January 2024, the term is a maximum of 3 years. Only the Attorney General can revoke a WW PD Police Training License, not a borough commissioner. The Police Officer must have violated the NJ Code of Conduct and/or the law to have their license revoked. The infractions can be recent or prior to 1/2024. The PTC licensing process is a significant contributing factor to the NJ Police Officer shortage and will be getting worse as ALL licenses will be evaluated by end of 2026!
