Sea Isle City Re. Bicycling on the sidewalk just takes an excuse me. No it doesn’t, and what you need to know is that in NJ bicyclists must follow the same rules of the road as automobile drivers do. In NJ, pedestrians always have the right of way, therefore the bicyclists must always yield to the pedestrian, not the other way around and an apology doesn’t excuse any attempt to bully people off the walkway. Knowing the law is important, and those that don’t are red meat for a lawsuit.
