Sadly both of our NJ Senators Kim and Booker refused vote to open the government. I personal know single parents who work at the Coast Guard base. They did not get paid. That is wrong. Our Senators got paid. Flights are being canceled at every major airport. Do our Senators care about flight safety ? Do they care about tax paying citizens stranded away from home. This is a clean continuing resolution bill. Our Senators voted for the CR under Biden why not now? Because they hateTrump more than they love New Jersey taxpayers. They can negotiate all they want after the CR is passed.
