Republicans keep voting to keep the government open at current spending levels. Democrats keep voting NO because they want to add over a Trillion dollars in additional spending and are keeping the government shut down to try to make Trump and the republicans look bad leading up to the mid-term elections. It's as simple as that. As an independent I will not be voting for any Democrats this election. Maybe next time.
