Now that the penny is no longer being made get ready to pay more for things. For example if you buy something for $5.53 and pay with cash you will now pay $5.55 as businesses will round up. More people will go back to using cards which is not much better since many businesses still charge the 3% (covid) service charge. Consumers just can’t catch a break!
