Just took a look at the Heralds article on the schools county’s state test scores. Looking at the chart it’s obvious that the districts with greater local tax monies for their schools are the ones meeting the standards while others are not. This however is not the only determining factor IMO. Parents, being involved at home with their child’s work with following up with homework and teaching themselves is very high on the list for a child’s success. Our kids went to one of the lower scoring schools. All are successful in their adult life. Mom and dad, give a care, it makes a big difference.
