Just received the Avalon AHLOA newsletter. It claims many property owners were asked and confirmed they favor a boutique hotel in Avalon. WHAT!? I don't know a single person in favor or my neighbors even being asked for an opinion. The e mail claims a hotel will extend the shoulder season. It will help the local business community. There are only a few businesses open in October , they dont even have enough help. Come to Avalon in the off season to enjoy, NOTHING! So they can spend money in Stone Harbor that has a shopping district and restaurants clustered together.
