I was shocked when I saw the Statewide Assessment Scores. Only five of sixteen communities/schools met the standard! The Wildwood schools averaged 14. These are the future leaders of a state with the one of the highest tax burdens in the nation. A large percentage of our taxes go to education at the state and local level. This confirms to me that we don't get what we pay for. But I guess we'll have a ready supply of manual laborers. No, wait immigrants are taking those jobs. I guess we'll have a whole new crop of welfare recipients. Thanks Randi Weingarten and the UFT.
