Stone Harbor

I hope local officials realize what the federal law states for the SH tax assessment. By law, if total assessments increase, tax rates are often required to be lowered proportionally to avoid a windfall for the taxing authority. Individual tax bills may still increase, decrease, or stay the same depending on how a specific property's value change compares to the average change in the community. So based on what I see with local real estate our tax rate should go down (not our tax that will go up) because housing values have doubled in the last few years. Lower rate on higher value.
