I completely agree that e-bikes need regulation. Attempting to 'teach' a teen in bike safety doesn't work as shown by the numerous accidents inflicted on citizens. I personally have seen kids running these bikes on streets and then zipping off onto sidewalks full speed with no concern about safety of others. These bikes need to be regulated by license and insurance just like a motorcycle, moped or even a car. It is totally out of control. If parents have to pay insurance and licenses for these maybe they will re-think and simply give their child a regular bicycle which is more healthy.
