I appreciate the op/ed about immigration stressing compassion AND a secure border. I agree w/ whole-heartedly w/ these sentiments. IMO the Biden Admin bears extreme blame. Open borders and encouraging fraudulent asylum claims is not a valid substitute for immigration reform. And let us not overlook how this policy enriched human-trafficking cartels who victimized migrants with mafia-like protection scams. The Dems were at least sane on this issue under Obama and Clinton. I feel for those coming here for a better life. They should go home and be allowed to apply for reentry.
