Go back about 5-7 years and you will see that the town floated the idea of leaving the library system. They found out it would cost them the same as staying. There is a statute in the agreements that makes the town continue to pay a library tax to the county. They had a choice back then to build their own library building and run it apart from the county. But powers in charge decided to take the money by selling the old bank building to county.
