And of course now there will be a government shutdown. The ruling party does not take responsibility for it, it’s of course the other side’s fault. Isn’t the president the one who cancelled the meeting with the other side to try to divert this? And now, instead of a shutdown in the usual way, he wants certain departments gone and not coming back. Why? Because (standard answer here) they don’t align with the president’s thinking. But I guess his truly loyal are just fine with this because somehow they are not affected by any loss of jobs, high prices or any other chaos this man sows.
