After seeing the mayor's social media post regarding the lack of Christmas Parade funding, it's time to be honest: some folks have been coasting on nostalgia. They assume “someone else” will fix it because “the parade always happens.” Well, here we are. The parade is on life support, and everyone’s suddenly shocked. If we truly care, this should be the last year we rely on bake-sale finances and last-minute begging. Either we fund it properly, or admit we don’t deserve it.
