A Clear-Eyed, Compassionate Look at Immigration? It feels more like a one-sided view without request for commentary. Can you explain how illegal immigrants pay anything but sales tax? They don’t have a Social Security number so how could they pay federal or state taxes? Few if any have a problem with legal immigration or country was built on that, but you can’t compare undocumented immigration in the beginnings of our country to illegal immigration in the mature country we have today 200+ years later. Don’t you think the legal immigrants enable many employers to pay nothing but minimum wage?
