WILDWOOD CREST – The Borough of Wildwood Crest is set to install new Toter public trash and recycling cans across the borough, replacing previous cans.

The new Toter trash cans will be gray in color, while the new Toter recycling cans will be blue in color.

This will replace the previous use of gray cans for recycling and blue cans for trash.

The new Toter cans have been funded through money from the Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) program.

“These new Toter cans will move the borough in line with the traditional colors used for trash and recycling cans, which are gray for trash and blue for recycling,” said Wildwood Crest mayor Don Cabrera, also the Commissioner of Public Works and Recreation. “The borough has made this change after much input from the community.”

The new Toter trash and recycling cans are set to be installed across the borough by the Department of Public Works during the month of August.

Metal trash and recycling cans, which are mostly confined to the beach, will remain the same – blue for trash and red for recycling.

For more information, call the Wildwood Crest Department of Public Works at (609) 522-7446.
