By Herald Staff

An additional 420 people registered to vote in Cape May County since the June 6 primary election, bringing the total number of registered voters to 75,689. Of those, 32,786 (43%) are Republican and 18,441 (24%) are Democrat. The remaining 24,462 (33%) are listed as ‘Other.’ The deadline to register was Oct. 17.

Voters will have the opportunity to select candidates for state, county, municipal and school board races (listed below).

Dennis Township voters will also decide whether they support the Dennis Township Board of Education increasing the tax levy by nearly $1.3 million to maintain the teaching staff and instructional aides, which they said would keep class sizes at a minimum, as well as purchase instructional materials and a replacement bus. The funds would also be used to continue after-school programs, including field hockey, softball, baseball, stage band and the Future Educators Club.

In-person early voting begins Oct. 28 and will continue through Nov. 5. See a sample ballot for voting locations and times. Those who wish to vote on Election Day Tuesday, Nov. 7, may do so between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the polling place listed on their sample ballot.
