My name is Lindsey Tyler DeLollis and I am a proud native of this community and an alumna of the Middle Township School District. I have chosen to raise my two children here, enrolling them in this district to ensure they receive the same exceptional education and experiences. I’m ready to give back to a district and community that have given me so much.
Middle Township School District has achieved remarkable outcomes with limited resources. We have the lowest per-student cost in the county at $15,000 annually, and we accept every child without exception, providing a well-rounded education while being measured against schools with greater resources and selective admissions. Our students are graduating with associate degrees, excelling in college athletics, and pursuing advanced degrees and careers.
The recent referendum may have failed, but our needs haven’t vanished. Our aging facilities require upgrades to create healthy and safe learning environments for students, teachers, and staff. For instance, the HVAC systems at Elementary #1 are so outdated that parts must be custom-made, resulting in poor temperature and humidity control in classrooms. As our students work to catch up from the COVID pandemic, it is critical that we focus on effective curriculum and student achievement. We need to evaluate our current reading curriculum to ensure we are providing the best foundations for student’s educational future. With Dr. Salvo’s retirement approaching, the board faces a pivotal decision in selecting a new superintendent. It’s essential that our next leader mirrors Dr. Salvo’s dedication to safeguarding our achievements while propelling our district forward. In today’s Choice School era, families can send their children to other districts. To remain competitive, we must invest in state-of-the-art academic and extracurricular facilities and continue offering innovative programs to attract and retain families. A thriving school district benefits not only our students and their families but also our taxpayers and our local economy.
I am focused on what truly matters: our kids, our educators, our district, and our community. I am deeply committed to the success of every student, regardless of their background. I believe that education transforms lives, and it is our duty to equip our children with the skills they need for the future. I am ready to work tirelessly for our schools, collaborating with board members, educators, parents, students, and taxpayers. As a school board member, I will prioritize evidence-based decision-making and responsible stewardship of our resources. Our students deserve nothing less than our full commitment and collective effort. We need board members who will rise to the occasion, driving positive change and securing a bright future for everyone in our district.
I would be honored to have your vote on November 5th.
