WILDWOOD – At approximately 3:42 a.m. on Friday, June 7, Wildwood Fire Department Squad Co. 3 (C Platoon) and North Wildwood Fire Department Ladder Co. 2 were dispatched to the area of Spencer and Pacific avenues for a reported vehicle into a building.

Upon arrival, Squad Co. 3 found an SUV that had been driven into a building that had also struck another building across the street. The driver of the vehicle was treated and transported to Cape Regional Medical Center by a Wildwood Fire Department ambulance for treatment.

Both of the buildings were occupied at the time but there were no injuries to any occupants. Squad Co. 3 and Ladder Co. 2 installed temporary shoring to render both occupied buildings safe.

Units operated on the scene for about two hours. The incident is under investigation by the City of Wildwood Police Department.
