RICHARD STEPHEN
Richard Vance left this world for Eternal Life on March 13, 2025, at 92 years of age, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 17, 1932, in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, William and Hazel Vance, brother Bill Vance, sister Pat Palmer, and his son Rick Vance.
He is survived by wife Barbara Vance, his brother Jack Vance, two sons Robert and Scott Vance, four grandchildren Krystle, Christian, Jordan, and Tyler Vance, and three great grandchildren Isaiah, Micah, and Eloise Vance.
Richard served for eight years in the National Guard at the Dallas Naval Air Station.
Richard worked twenty-nine years for Union Trust/Midlantic Bank. He then served as a councilman for the City of North Wildwood, and a school board member for Margaret Mace School.
Richard's favorite things to do were spending time with his family, the yearly road trip vacations, riding his bike every morning for forty-one years, and going out to eat. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting and camping with his sons and grandsons.
Richard was well respected in his community, a kind soul and will be forever missed.
Funeral services will be held at Ingersoll Funeral Home in North Wildwood, Friday March 21, 2025, immediate family at 9:30 am, service 11 am- 12:30 pm, with his burial to follow at Tabernacle Methodist Church Cemetery, Erma, NJ.
