PETERSBURG – The Upper Township Basketball Association’s eighth grade girls basketball team was congratulated by the Township Committee May 27 for winning the South Shore Basketball League championship.
The team, which had a 19-5 record for the season, earned its title by defeating North Wildwood 39-21 in the championship game. The players included Camryn Schiemer, Mya Dever, Brecklyn Foley, Carolena Polo, Maeve Daily, Ciara Cortes and Holly DeLong.
The Township Committee also congratulated coaches Don Polo and Brian Foley for their service.
