UCCI, KATHY

UCCI, KATHY
Kathy Ucci, a cherished wife, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, at the age of 83 in Cape May Court House, NJ. Born on January 15, 1941, in Poland, Kathy was a beacon of kindness and friendliness to all who knew her. Her journey brought her to the United States at 19, laying roots in Dennisville 47 years ago after moving from Cedar Grove, NJ.
A devoted spouse, she shared 57 years with her loving husband, James A. Ucci, celebrating 52 years of marriage filled with mutual respect, warmth, and endless care. Despite being the youngest of ten children, and although predeceased by her nine siblings, Kathy's family extended through many cherished nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Kathy's professional life was marked by her time as a dietary aid at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ, where she delivered her duties with the same warmth and kindness that characterized her life. A faithful member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish St. Casimir's Church, she found solace and community within its walls.
Kathy's hobbies were an extension of her nurturing spirit; she found joy in baking, cooking, crafting beautiful crochet pieces, tending to her garden, and unwinding with computer games. Summers in Myrtle Beach, SC, offered her respite and the simple pleasures of sunshine and the ocean's breeze.
Those who knew Kathy will remember her for the love she shared freely and the light she brought into every space. Her legacy of friendliness and kindness will continue to bloom in the hearts of all she touched.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where visitation will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private. Donations in Kathy's memory may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital, 3551 North Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
