Two Injured in Head-on Crash on Route 47

GOSHEN – The Middle Township Police Department said it responded to the report of a head-on collision involving two cars on Saturday, Jan. 27, on Route 47 North.

Police said on Jan. 27 at approximately 10:23 p.m., the MTPD responded to Route 47 North in the area of milepost 15.3 and found one vehicle partially overturned and resting on its passenger side. The driver of the overturned vehicle was extricated by the Goshen Volunteer Fire Company and was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for leg injuries. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center for a leg injury.

The MTPD said in a press release that a vehicle traveling south on Route 47 crossed the centerline resulting in a head-on collision with the vehicle traveling north. No further information on the crash was immediately available.

Assisting in the response and investigation were Inspira Emergency Medical Services, AtlantiCare Paramedics, and the Cape May County Fire Police.
