BURLEIGH – Middle Township police, assisted by the county prosecutor’s office and SWAT team, have made a third drug arrest in about a month in the Burleigh section of the township.
On Friday, April 11, the Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the Meadowbrook Motel at 605 N. Wildwood Blvd. There they arrested Samuel “Bobby” Love, 55, and Jaime Hess, 45, after finding them in possession of more than one-half ounce of methamphetamine, more than 400 prescription pills, an amount of cocaine, an amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Hess was charged with fourth-degree possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, three counts of second-degree possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs, five counts of third-degree possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Love was charged with second-degree possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, three counts of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, third-degree possession with intent to distribute cocaine, three counts of second-degree possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs, five counts of third-degree possession with intent to distribute prescription legend drugs, fourth-degree possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to commit distribution of narcotics.
The two were released on summonses pending court proceedings.
Police arrested an individual in Burleigh on March 13 and then rearrested the same person on April 11 along with three others, serving search warrants on three residences. All of those arrests resulted in drug charges.
The township Police Department was assisted in the motel arrests by the county Regional SWAT Team and the Prosecutor’s Office’s Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force.
