WILDWOOD – Police officers arrested three people on distribution of cocaine and other charges after a search warrant was served on a residence in the 300 block of Garfield Avenue on Friday, April 12.

The Police Department’s Detective Division was joined by the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team in executing the search warrant, which resulted in the recovery of distribution amounts of suspected cocaine and multiple pills believed to be a combination of acetaminophen and codeine.

Officers also found $797 in cash, which they believed to be the proceeds of illegal narcotics sales. A digital scale along with multiple plastic baggies commonly used to package illegal narcotics were recovered at the scene as well. The targeted property was within 500 feet of a public place (Maxwell Field).

Police arrested Karl Abbatiello, 49, Jill Caissie, 45, and Robert Peterson,34, all from Wildwood. A male juvenile was found inside the residence and brought to police headquarters. The juvenile was later released to a guardian.

As a result of the investigation, all three suspects were charged with second-degree possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in a public place, third-degree possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, third-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree financial facilitation of criminal activity, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree possession of prescription legend drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, a disorderly persons offense.

Abbatiello, Caissie and Peterson were incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
