SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s new Dog Park, located at 7th Street and Landis Avenue, will open to the public on Saturday, May 4, at 3:00 PM, during a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony hosted by Mayor Leonard Desiderio.
Construction of the nearly $1 million Dog Park, which was mostly funded by the Cape May County Open Spaces Board, includes a variety of features that will be pleasing to dogs and humans alike.
For the facility’s four-legged visitors, there are two fenced-in areas with sand surfaces for both large and small dogs, each having a shade pavilion, water stations, “playground” fixtures, waste receptacles, and benches.
The Dog Park also has an additional shade pavilion with picnic tables located outside of the fenced-in areas, as well as bicycle racks, a bicycle repair station, trash and recycling receptacles, flag poles, and new landscaping.
The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 4 – and pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs, so they can be among the first canines to utilize the facility.
