To the Editor:
Along with several colleagues and great volunteers I have devoted thousands of volunteer hours to humane trap-neuter-return of kittens and cats in Sea Isle City. We have enjoyed many years without stray and/or sick cats roaming our streets.
Unfortunately in 2025 our efforts are being undone. Friends … if you are not part of the SIC solution then you are part of the problem! Every human who thinks they are being kind to feed a stray cat is part of the problem. A stray cat will reproduce and is not protected from rabies.
You are not kind. You are really guilty of animal cruelty. Do better. Be really kind. Keep feeding, but report the stray to The Crooked Tail or Sea Isle City Cats so they can receive humane health care.
