Cape Issues is a citizens group which meets to focus on tax issues in Cape May County.
Currently we have five committees. One works to insure taxpayer budgets are available on the Internet; another deals with police compensation issues; a third with school consolidation; a fourth with central dispatch of police and fire personnel, and the fifth with trash collection.
Back when we started meeting, we asked you, the public, what was most important to you, and you told us overwhelmingly: taxes. So, we volunteer our time throughout the month, and gather as a whole group once a month in an effort to achieve maximum value for your tax dollars.
If you would like to work on one of these committees, or start a new one, please contact any one of us, or contact me at the Herald. It is very rewarding work, and very necessary in order to maintain government of the people.
Public officials deserve your support.
Hope to hear from you.
