PARK, KIMBERLY REA Kimberly Rea Park, age 59, passed suddenly on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from complications of Type I Diabetes. Kim was born in Pittsburgh, grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and lived her best years in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. She was a graduate of Council Rock High School and Duke University's Class of 1985. Kim spent her career working as an underwriter and appraiser for Chubb in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. She retired in 2018 at the age of 55. In retirement, she became the Director of the Stone Harbor Museum. Kim loved the beach and loved Stone Harbor. Along with a dear friend, she created Stone Harbor Peeps, a popular Facebook site with almost 14,000 followers. Kim is survived by her mother, Nancy R. Schaffer, siblings Valerie L. Kalderon (Avi), Jeffrey D. Park (Peg Deady), step siblings Robert J. Schaffer (Kira Bates), Timothy A. Schaffer (Trish Spillane), Sarah E. DiMarino (Richard Klineburger III), Rebecca J. Kelly (James), six nieces, six nephews, her furry companions Chubbs and Rocky and thousands of Peeps. She was predeceased by her stepfather, David W. Schaffer, M.D. Burial will be private.
