TWIST, MARYANN

TWIST, MARYANN
Maryann Twist, (July 5, 1934 -May 11, 2025), was a lifelong resident of Wildwood Crest and the wife of Donald Twist before his death in October, 2009. She was the daughter of Florence and Gustave Johnson of Wildwood, New Jersey. She passed peacefully in Southport, Connecticut with family who cared for her in these last months and had the pleasure and privilege of meeting her great grandchildren with smiles.
Maryann met her husband Don in high school and she was proud that she was a varsity cheerleader to his football and basketball prowess. Besides running their family business; she was a hard-working motel manager for over 25 years and became friends with numerous return clientele who loved her charm and stayed in touch long after she retired.
“Mare”, as she was affectionally known to many, was a shining light in the lives of her family, friends, coworkers, and those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing will leave a void in their hearts. Her 90 years on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, dedication and an unwavering faith in God.
Maryann is survived by her daughters Kimberly Twist of Rhode Island, Donna Twist and son-in-law Daniel Rudolph of Connecticut, sister, Lynda Seglias, and brother-in-law, Edward Seglias of Pennsylvania, sister-in law Jane Johnson of New Jersey, grandchildren, Andrew Rudolph, Adam Rudolph (Meghan) Matthew Rudolph (Faith) great grandchildren Mason, Marymay, Violet and Serafina Rudolph and many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
