-September 7th, 2025
James Edward Palmisano, 66, of North Wildwood, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. During his final months, he was lovingly cared for by his devoted daughters, Jacquelyn and Lauren Nicole, while living life to the fullest extent possible.
Born on September 9, 1958, to Vincent and Carol Palmisano, he was raised in Wildwood, NJ, with his siblings Michael, Sally, Larry, and Dee. James was a kind and admirable young man, always active, whether hanging out with friends at the beach or arcades. He often worked as a teen, building foundational life skills and developing a strong character. As a young adult, James became a father to Jimmy, Joey, Lauren Michelle, and Christine. After serving in the United States Military he began traveling down the East Coast, embarking on a lifelong journey filled with love, light, and laughter. Jim was a tremendous father, husband, and friend. He was a strongly faith-driven man who loved all, and above all, God and his family. Resilient and kind, he loved to spend his afternoons teaching the word of God, gardening, writing poetry, cooking blessed meals, and laughing with family and friends.
James, also known as Jim, Big Jim, or famously “Palm,” had a colossal heart, caring for anyone who needed a helping hand. He was carefree and loved to drive, listening to music full blast with the windows down.
Jim spent the last few years living in Wildwood, NJ, with his wife of 27 years, Michelle, and their dog, Emma. He thrived in the presence of the people he loved, holding great pride in all of his children and grandchildren. He was a fan of The Beatles, walking the boardwalk, eating a giant pizza from Joe's, and studying scripture from the Bible. A man filled with love and grace left behind some beautiful poems. May he live on through his family and the words he's left behind; it may seem as though he's gone, but if you search your heart, you'll find peace of mind. IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE BABY.
“MY POETRY”
“HUNTER”
There's a HUNTER in camp, That provides a chill.
We are Settlers, That garner And till. The soil yields a bounty for
The faithful still.
There's Tinder we stack,
To warm our Souls.
A binding of Hearts,
We Ebb and Flow. A Hunter in camp provides,
Meat for a Table.
An Alter of Sacrifice,
When we are Able.
We serve a Creator that allows A Hunter in camp, to make Strife.
To save our Spirits, For a Greater Life.
There's a Hunter in camp,
That provides a chill.
