Wildwoods Aren’t Free for Residents

By Kleban

To The Editor:
I would like to thank all the lifeguards on Wildwood beaches for not charging to guard the waters. I would like to thank the beach public works personnel who rake the trash from the beach all on their own time, and the public works mechanics that keep the equipment up and running all without charging the city.
Also the fuel company that donates the gasoline and oil for the beach vehicles; the seasonal police that patrol the beach and boardwalk donating thier time and service.
It is great that all these services are so generously donated to stay with the advertisement, “The Wildwoods are Free.”
No, they are not free to the residents, and it is time for the people who enjoy the beach help support the maintenance and upkeep with beach fees.
